Kicking and Smiling

How would any react to someone kicking them over and over? Kandis responds by smiling! Last night she looked at me and said, “Ouch the baby just kicked me.” Moments later she said it again. And then the most satisfying smile flashed across her face. Her smile was so gratifying to me because I know that this is what Kandis has been praying for all of these years. To have a baby!

The baby kicks and Kandis smiles. I felt so happy for her at that moment. To have your prayers answered is a great thing. And everyday Kandis talks about the kicking by smiling! Her eyes say it all. She loves being pregnant. I love having a pregnant wife. The kicking and smiling, well, that’s a special part of it.

I love holding Kandis at night and feeling the baby moving and kicking. And me smiling too!
