Kickin' It
Back to the doctor’s office on Friday and after a brief reminder to Kandis about drinking more water, we were treated to the beautiful sounds of our baby. The heart beat was like music to my ear. Dr. Stokes did point out a peculiar sound during the examination. The sound was like a high volume and sharp tick. Dr. Stokes pointed it out. “You hear that sound?” he asked. “Yes what is it?” “That’s the sound of the baby kicking”. And WAS the baby kicking! I am so amazed at how active our baby is being. During the ultrasound there was sooooo much movement. When I come to bed and rub Kandis’ belly, I feel the baby moving all around… Just kickin’ it. It is such an amazing and miraculous feeling knowing that my child is moving around in my wife! I love it.
Being that Kandis is now 21 weeks the baby will have about a month or so of room to kick it. Then, as the baby grows, there will be less moving around. But still there will be the kicking.
Kandis says that she feels the baby all of the time. I guess I feel a little jealous of her because of that, but I will have a chance of kickin’ with the baby all of the time once our child is here. Until then, I’m just glad that my baby is alive and kicking.
