Pretty Wild
O.K. I really need to say this, “Having a baby is pretty wild!” I’m experiencing things with Kandis that are (dare I say) emotional. Everything right now is heightened and extreme. Kandis doesn’t know it, but I caught her crying while watching a television show. Her eating habits change everyday. One minute she wants shredded wheat cereal, the next day she doesn’t want it. Total Cereal with strawberries on Monday, Raisin Bran on Tuesday, pancakes on Thursday and on Friday she can’t stand any of it.
Now that’s pretty wild.
She sleeps a lot which is good, but she doesn’t drink enough water which is bad. She wants to eat spicy foods which are bad, but she mostly eats healthy which is good. She keeps asking if her breasts are getting bigger…and my answer…ummmm, yes. But she doesn’t like that although naturally they are going to get bigger, right? So I change my answer….ummmm, no.
Now that’s pretty wild.
I get a little preparation on what Kandis might experience in the next couple of weeks from one of the Club’s staff members who is also pregnant. She is 19 weeks and is now going through the “I’m fat” stage. And I have to wonder, how can you consider yourself fat if you are carrying a person inside you? It’s not like you are eating extra food for no reason or that your body is growing for no reason. And I can expect this “fat stage” from Kandis. So what will my answer be when she asks…ummmm… Let me get back to you about that one.
