by the Book
What type of parent will I be? Right now, I plan on raising my child by the Book; Schedules, food, clothing, safety, schooling, nursing, and more. Everything that I’ve been reading is good stuff and I want to apply the knowledge to my parenting technique. Of course I know that once the child is here the game plan may change. But I am going to try to apply all of the Book information to my child.
I am the first to admit that I am nervous about being a good father. In fact I want to be a great father. That’s why I am reading so much. I want my child to be healthy, happy, safe, and comfortable. I want to eliminate as many obstacles as I can.
Kandis says that I am getting on her nerves with my “I read this” and “I read that” advice that I give her daily. I just want to be knowledgeable. I don’t want to be in a situation where I am caught off guard. And if I go by the Book, then I will feel better about any decision that has to be made for the baby.
The Book is not just for the baby, it’s for me and Kandis too. Ever since I decided to live by the Book, God has opened up the windows of Heaven and poured out His blessings on all of us.
So why wouldn’t I want to raise my child by the Book?

Nothing is wrong with raising your child by the book. I think all of the advice we have been reading has been great. However, I think all of the info you read about how I should be eating is driving me crazy! :) But I know you are concerned because you love me and the baby. Believe me I do the best I can but sometimes it's hard. I love you!
