Wow!
This day can be summed up in one word…Wow!

Kandis and I started painting on Friday. Today, Crystal and my parents joined us in completing the most beautiful room in the house…the baby’s room.

I haven’t come to call it the nursery yet, but I’m sure once the baby arrives I will begin calling it a nursery. Right now it’s a room. Not just a room, but a beautiful room.

I have to admit that I was apprehensive about Kandis’ idea of painting the room in two different colors. In fact, I wasn’t too sure about the chair rail. (Honestly, I didn’t know what a chair rail was until Kandis brought it up).

But we went with the painting, first the chair rail and then the walls; buttercup yellow on the top and “Pooh” green on the bottom. (Yes, there is an actual Classic Pooh line of paints).

Then above the chair rail the border was placed. Add a new curtain rod, an additional Pooh curtain, and a few touchups later and … wow!

The room looks so beautiful. Maybe it’s because it was worked on with so much love from everyone. Maybe it’s because of Kandis’ vision. Or maybe it’s because God ordained this room for His special gift for us. Whatever the reason(s), I can only say, “Wow!”

The baby's room is beau-ti-ful, I know the next step is the furniture and then my favorite "THE BABY". It was a pleasure to help get our baby's room ready.
love all,

Thanx for all of your help Grammy. The furniture arrived earlier today. I'm sure Kandis will rearrange the room a hundred times before the baby arrives.
